Hi, my name is Sue Agnelli and I’m an RKC Certified Kettlebell Instructor. Kettlebells deliver extreme all-around fitness and provide phenomenal results in strength, endurance, flexibility and conditioning. Kettlebell training is so powerful because it uses highly functional movements that often involve full body effort. Both men and women greatly benefit from kettlebell training through:
- Fat Loss/Increased metabolism
- Strength without bulk
- Strong bones and joints
- Endurance and stamina
- Muscle balance and function
Kettlebells work the whole body. Each movement engages multiple muscle groups resulting in a high calorie burn in a short period of time. It also increases your metabolic rate in both the short and long term, leading to leaner muscle mass and increased fat burn. The techniques simultaneously increase your heart rate and incorporate strength training making the workouts time efficient, incredibly intense, effective, and fun.
Strong Bones and Healthy Joints
All kettlebell exercises are load bearing and help bones regain and maintain strength. Kettlebell exercises are gentle on joints as there is no impact. In fact, many people noticed joint health and range of motion greatly improving while participating in kettlebell training. Kettlebell training will quickly reveal the weaknesses and misalignments of your body and enable correction.
Strength Without Bulk – Toned and Dense Muscles
Kettlebell training involves using numerous muscle groups simultaneously. You can do standard weight training exercises with kettlebells to increase strength and flexibility; however, the unique value of kettlebells is derived from ballistic (fast power-driven) exercises. These help to lose fat and tighten up your glutes, quads, abs, and arms. As a result many chiropractors are using kettlebells with their patients for rehab.
Endurance and Stamina of Marathon Runners (without the running)
High volume kettlebell workouts will build endurance and stamina. Many women athletes choose kettlebells as their cross training tool of choice. It is easy on the joints (no impact) and incredibly effective at strengthening the cardio-vascular system. Your heart will thank you!
Muscle Balance and Function
Kettlebells force body to work as one unit. As a result, weak links are revealed and fixed. Your body regains proper muscle balance and improved functionality.
