The visual arts were my first love, and were my major field of study during college. During this time I realized that it was possible to take my love of creating off the paper. When I exercised, I felt similar sensations as I did after completing a painting, drawing, or molding a ball of clay. I have many forms! Physical fitness is one of these, and I decided my occupation must involve helping others feel the absolute best that they can.
I enjoy helping my class participants and private clients achieve this "best" feeling in a variety of ways. Certified in The Method Pilates, I am an avid believer in the original matwork exercises designed by Joe. "It is the Mind that moves the Body," (Friedrich Schiller) was one of Joe Pilates; favorite quotes. The fundamentals of the original exercises and Form that Joe created truly make on achieve the mind-body connection. These are foundation for my creative Pilates class routines and private sessions with clients. In addition to Pilates, I also specialize in ballet barre exercises, sculpting workouts, and functional strength training. In these exercise modalities I also emphasize that proper form is what yields the best results. The goals of the client are what matter most; and I strive to help them achieve great physical and mental health.
